Note - in the OPs avatar, it says "Mondeo Estate TDI" (2004) it is not a TDI, it is a TDCI (a different model/ engine type, with completely different, incompatible injectors, TDCIs are Delphi, TDIs/ TDDIs are Bosch, TDCIs need to be coded, TDDIs do not, TDIs were not produced in 2004 etc, etc,
Enough engine power through the gears. The issue is with the sluggish start when warm and the IAT registering 1.9v to 2.2v at idle 900 rpm. The volts should be 1.5v and if not pusshing the accelerator pedal the volts should stay at 1.5. What could cause the car to take in more air than it should.

Hello I was wondering if you could help me first time I've used the forum I have a 2010 Mondeo 2L TDCi which is not running full boost from the turbo after 10 to 15 seconds after starting. I swapped the engine from a Ford Focus and think I may have my vacuum lines in a tangle I please need a diagram
I have bought a 2003 Mondeo tdci to run in the winter when my Focus RS is off the road. When turning the ignition off the key won't pull out of the barrel I've tried oiling the barrel but not joy. Ps it is a manual I've looked on google but can only find people with automatics with park problems.
The glow plugs are only used to start the engine, and should have no effect once the engine is warmed up. The variable vanes on the turbo can coke up, which can cause exessive boost pressure as the VNT (variable nozzle turbo) controls the boost via the electronic or pnumatic actuator, the exessive boost pressure is liable to occur at high revs/ load and can trigger limp home mode.
